Job summary

SK Services, LLC, a Tupelo-based automotive supplier, seeks a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to oversee assembly, stamping, welding, and material handling operations in a Tier 1 environment. You will lead team leaders and hourly associates, ensure schedules, quality, and safety, drive improvements, and foster accountability and teamwork while maintaining policy compliance.

The role emphasizes training, performance feedback, and coordination with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime

Responsibilities

• Supervise Team Leaders, Assembly Operators, Welders, and Forklift Operators to meet daily production requirements.
• Ensure production schedules, customer requirements, productivity targets, and efficiency goals are met within budgets.
• Maintain compliance with product identification, traceability, process control, and packaging requirements.
• Ensure employees follow established quality procedures and meet product/process standards.
• Verify compliance with first-off and last-off inspection procedures.
• Complete Layered Process Audits (LPA) and close corrective actions on schedule.
• Monitor inventory levels of manufactured parts to meet production targets and customer needs.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Materials, Engineering, and other departments to minimize downtime.
• Train, develop, coach, mentor, and discipline employees to maintain a safe, productive workforce.
• Provide feedback and communicate policies, work instructions, and performance expectations.
• Support performance evaluations and advise on probationary status.
• Ensure departmental training is completed and posted at workstations.
• Provide on-the-job training and retraining as needed.
• Assist with production reports, performance metrics, and other operational documentation.
• Communicate departmental performance, quality concerns, and improvement opportunities to staff.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace cleanliness.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and engagement.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Support and maintain applicable Quality and Environmental Management System requirements.
