Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead automation and electrical projects that enhance safe, efficient plant operations. You will troubleshoot, align systems with company standards, and support continuous improvement across the site.

You will provide daily automation support to operations and facilities teams, execute projects to improve reliability, and develop training to grow automation and instrumentation knowledge across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, information technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of programmable logic controller programming experience.
• Knowledge of electrical principles and components such as HMIs, servo controllers, variable frequency drives, sensors, and process instrumentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to apply engineering principles in complex situations.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA, USDA, or Process Safety) is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, blueprints, electrical schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Proficiency with standard computer programs, including email and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily automation support to operations and facilities teams.
• Execute automation and electrical projects to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Develop and deliver training to strengthen automation, electrical, and instrumentation knowledge across the site.
• Align IT/OT infrastructure, programming, and equipment with company standards.
• Participate in daily production meetings and support Early Management and Preventive Maintenance initiatives.
• Partner on equipment obsolescence planning and ensure safety, environmental, and GMP compliance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Communicate effectively across teams and provide off-hours support when needed.
