Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Assembler-2nd Shift to join our production team. This role performs routine assembly in a climate-controlled environment, working with parts such as window balances, handle sets, and locks.

The position offers a Monday-Thursday schedule, 2:30 pm–1:00 am, with a starting hourly rate of $17.00 with a $1.25 shift premium. You will contribute to efficiency and quality while adhering to safety and attendance expectations.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a computer to fulfill customer orders.
• Ability to communicate with others.
• Ability to find and correct safety hazards.
• Ability to alternate stand for 10-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow written, visual, and verbal instructions.
• Operate a computer to fulfill customer orders.
• Utilize machines and other equipment throughout the assembly process.
• Lift and move up to 35 pounds.
• Perform assembly tasks while meeting production standards.
• Adhere to safety rules and quality standards.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Cross train in other departments as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
