Job summary

Timken is seeking 2nd shift Assembly Machinists to set-up and operate manual lathes, tapping presses, and fit drills within our assembly departments.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality per print, selecting fixtures, setting tool speeds, and completing required paperwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and strong measurement skills using calipers and gauges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic machining knowledge and blueprints reading.
• Experience with calipers, gauges and micrometers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate manual lathes, tapping presses and fit drills.
• Select fixtures, set tooling speeds, and ensure quality per print.
• Complete necessary paperwork and SPC charting.
