Job summary

Snelling in Alabama is seeking a hands-on technician to prepare coils for final assembly and testing, ensuring adherence to quality specs. You will bend, shape, cut and solder wires, attach lugs, and perform sanding as part of the prep process.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance, following strict safety PPE, and maintaining 6S/Lean standards in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Must follow safety policies and PPE protocols.
• Ability to bend, shape, cut, and solder wires and lugs.
• Capability to lift 50+ pounds with assistive devices or coworker help.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of required PPE.
• Bend, shape, cut, and solder wires/lugs.
• Attach wires using lugs/crimps.
• Perform sanding of wires as part of preparation process.
• Pull lead wires and sleeving.
• Use pneumatic/hydraulic crimping tools.
• Utilize lift assistance to handle products weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Participate in physical inventory activities.
• Meet established efficiency and productivity standards.
• Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.
• Additional or updated duties as business demands change.
