Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an electro-mechanical assembler to operate coil winding machines on the 2nd shift at our San Diego depot production site. You will prepare materials, apply insulation, terminate and solder leads per J-STD-001, and inspect coils for conformance with drawings.

This onsite role requires HS diploma or GED, at least one year of manufacturing/assembly experience, and the ability to read blueprints. Lifting up to 25 lbs and a 9/80 schedule are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related vocational/technical education and 1 year of relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Minimum 1 year production hand-soldering experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and/or work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate coil winding machines to wind wire coils to exact specifications.
• Prepare materials and components for winding operations.
• Apply insulation materials, terminate and solder leads per J-STD-001.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify quality per drawings.
• Assist with basic maintenance, setup, calibration, or minor repairs of machines and tooling.
• Record production data and quality results.
