Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA is seeking an assembler for the 2nd shift to perform production assembly on a variety of components. You will read blueprints, follow assembly procedures, and use hand tools, ensuring quality and conformance to specifications in a noisy, active production area.

You must be able to work overtime and move between assembly areas as needed, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork to meet production goals and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and equipment following detailed instructions.
• Reads blueprints, drawings, and work orders to assemble final and subassembly products.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area and adheres to SOPs/JSAs.
