General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler/Material Handler for its Mt Pleasant, PA location.

Mission Statement: Our mission is to design and manufacture a high quality, cost-effective Dead Tank Breaker to exceed customer expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Makes sub-assemblies and complete assemblies using hand and power tools, jigs, and fixtures; sets up machines.
• Assembles wires and makes any necessary repairs.
• Prepares assembly for painting and touches up marred painted surfaces after assembly.
• Responsible for correct and neat appearance of wiring and assembly, adjustments, operation, and lubrication of all assemblies.
• Reads detail and assembly drawings and wiring diagrams and works to specified tolerances.
• Moves and loads material and product as necessary.
• Reports needed maintenance and repairs of machine tools to the supervisor.
• Prepares daily timecard and reports to supervisor when assembly is complete.
• Uses hand truck, power truck, or other devices to move equipment, material, etc.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining own work area. Maintains equipment and tools.
• Assists with any on-the-job training requirements and performs other duties of equal or lower classification as directed.
• Responsible for safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Counts pieces, reports shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor.

Your Background:

• High school degree or GED required.
