Job description

General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler/Material Handler for its location in Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to design and manufacture high-quality, cost-effective Dead Tank Breakers that exceed customer expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Make sub-assemblies and complete assemblies using hand and power tools, jigs, and fixtures; set up machines.
2. Assemble wires and perform necessary repairs.
3. Prepare assemblies for painting and touch up marred painted surfaces after assembly.
4. Ensure correct and neat appearance of wiring and assemblies, perform adjustments, operate, and lubricate all assemblies.
5. Read detailed and assembly drawings and wiring diagrams; work to specified tolerances.
6. Move and load materials and products as necessary.
7. Report needed maintenance and repairs of machine tools to the supervisor.
8. Prepare daily timecards and report to the supervisor upon completion of assembly.
9. Use hand trucks, power trucks, or other devices to move equipment and materials.
10. Maintain cleanliness of personal work area and proper functioning of tools and equipment.
11. Assist with on-the-job training and perform other duties of similar or lower classification as directed.
12. Practice safe work habits and use personal protective equipment properly.
13. Count pieces, report shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor.

Your Background:
