Job summary

Design Ready Controls is seeking an Assembler I to join our production team in Richmond, VA. The role involves assembling control panels, basic wiring, and sheet metal work following drawings and BOMs. You will terminate wires, label products, and prepare panels for testing and shipment while keeping a safe, organized workspace.

The ideal candidate can read schematics, use basic measurement tools, and perform simple math. We value teamwork, safety, and a hands-on approach.

Ability to use basic measurement tools and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

Verify parts for assembly match the Bill of Materials.
Assemble electrical panels according to drawings including sheet metal pieces and component mounting.
Terminate wire ends and add terminals as needed for device connections.
Prepare panels for testing and shipping with labeling and IDs.
Troubleshoot basic panel wiring and identify potential electrical issues.
Learn process improvements and escalate to leadership as needed.
Maintain a safe and efficient work area and apply 5S/Lean practices.
Assist or participate in training measures as assigned.

Perform tasks across multiple product lines after training and assessments.
