Job summary

Nordson Product Assembly is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Assembler I to join its global manufacturing team. You will assemble, test, and package precision dispensing equipment, following quality and safety standards in a production environment.

Training on 1st shift will precede a move to 2nd shift; schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm. Candidates should have basic manufacturing experience and HS diploma, with wiring experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6 months+ in industrial/manufacturing assembly
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year wiring experience preferred
  • Able to work 2nd shift and rotate to other areas

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, tests, and packages industrial precision dispensing equipment per quality and safety standards.
  • Follows standard work, process docs, and quality procedures.
  • Uses hand tools and calibrated power tools to assemble equipment.
  • Uses drawings and BOMs to ensure proper assembly.
  • Reports product failures to engineer or supervisor.
  • Uses SAP to view drawings and generate docs.
  • Rotates to different work areas to meet customer requirements.

The 2nd Shift Assembler I is responsible for assembly, testing, and packaging of industrial precision dispensing equipment. Duties will involve a variety of tasks but are not limited to those listed below. Must be ok with being in a contract role and training on 1st shift before moving to 2nd Shift.

Training Schedule - Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm

2nd Shift Schedule - Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assembles, tests, and packages industrial precision dispensing equipment in accordance with quality, productivity, and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Follows applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
  • Use hand tools, general power tools, and calibrated power tools to facilitate equipment assembly.
  • Use reference drawings and bills of material to ensure proper assembly of equipment.
  • Report product failures to manufacturing engineer or supervisor.
  • Use computers (SAP) to view reference drawings, generate production related documents, for other general tasks.
  • Must be flexible and able to rotate to different work areas to respond appropriately to changing customer requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of work experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment in an assembly position.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of wiring experience preferred.

  • ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS - cooperating with co-workers toward the successful accomplishment of the task assigned. Ability to cross train in another work cell when necessary. Be a Team player.
