Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring an Assembler in Mahtomedi, MN for a temporary role with weekly pay and a first shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 6:30am–3:00pm). The position involves wire stripping, tinning, crimping, and packaging, working with bench-top equipment and ERP systems.

You will read process sheets, clock into jobs, rotate areas, and ensure assemblies meet print specs. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• Able to assemble parts accurately using prints, process sheets, or specs.

• Read, understand, and follow process sheet as provided.
• Operate bench-top equipment.
• Clock into jobs/operations using a computer.

• Inspect assemblies for proper form and function per print and process sheet.
• Identify and report quality issues.

What You'll Do:

• Perform assembly operations such as wire stripping, tinning, plugging, twisting, hand crimping, and packaging
• Read, understand, and follow process sheet as provided
• Operate bench-top equipment
• Properly clock into jobs/operations using a computer
• Rotate between assembly areas as directed by manager or lead
• Inspect assemblies for proper form and function per print and process sheet
• Identify and report quality issues

What You Need to Bring to the Assembler Role:

• High school diploma or GED; or comparable work experience
• Demonstrated ability to accurately assemble parts using prints, process sheets, or specifications, etc.
• Basic mathematical operations, including the use of fractions and decimals
• Ability to accurately read and interpret a ruler
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers
• Ability to use and understand computers and their software programs such as an ERP system
