Overview

Cal-Tex Electric is looking to hire Apprentice Electricians for 2nd Shift/Night Work! This position offers a competitive pay increase from our 1st shift Apprentices. We seek candidates with experience in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. Immediate availability is preferred.

Duties

1. Assist journeyman electricians with installing wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
2. Measure, cut, and bend conduit.
3. Troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment.
4. Read and interpret blueprints.
5. Set and wire electrical switchgear, panels, and equipment.
6. Learn the National Electrical Code and perform work in accordance with it.
7. Practice appropriate safety protocols and procedures.
8. Learn from experienced Journeymen Electricians as you work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and/or drive for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors depending on the project.
