Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC seeks a hands-on 2nd Shift AM Operations Specialist to drive daily AM equipment operation, maintenance, and process improvements. This onsite role focuses on uptime, quality parts, and safe, efficient production.

You will install and commission equipment, perform routine maintenance, document results, manage inventory, and help develop standard work. AM experience is preferred; training will cover servicing, calibration, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing background required or preferred.
• 1–3 years operating or maintaining manufacturing equipment; AM experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn servicing, calibration, repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and operate AM equipment under guidance.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs to maximize uptime.
• Support calibration activities and document results with service records.
• Execute part processing and post-processing tasks per shop orders.
• Manage consumables, inventory, and lab organization for safety and efficiency.
• Input data into IFS or similar systems for service tracking and status.
• Contribute to creation and improvement of work instructions and SOPs.
• Suggest and implement workflow and cost-efficiency improvements.
