Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift AM Operations Specialist in Concord, NC. The role focuses on daily additive manufacturing tasks, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement to deliver high‑quality parts on schedule.

You will install and operate AM equipment, perform routine maintenance and calibration, troubleshoot issues, and document results. This onsite position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience operating or maintaining manufacturing equipment; AM experience preferred but not required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, commissioning, and daily operation of AM equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs to maximize uptime.
• Support calibration activities, document results, and maintain service records.
• Execute part processing and post-processing tasks per shop orders.
• Manage consumables, inventory, and lab organization for a safe production environment.
• Input data into IFS or similar systems for service tracking and job status.
• Contribute to creation and improvement of Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Suggest and implement practical solutions to improve workflow, efficiency, and cost.
