Job summary

Interface in Georgia seeks a skilled operator to run the continuous mixer, prioritizing safety, quality and productivity. You will manage material staging, perform tests, and document results in AS400/MESr/JDE. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude and certifications, with on-the-job training for extrusion processes.

The position involves 12-hour shifts in a non-climate controlled environment, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and R&D efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands-on mechanical/technical aptitude is essential.
• Experience with plastics extrusion equipment preferred.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and troubleshoot.
• Ability to operate quality testing equipment as required.
• Hyster pallet jack certification may be required.
• Proficient computer skills and basic density calculations.
• 5S training (White Belt) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules.
• Operate and maintain the continuous mixer and related equipment.
• Material staging and inventory management.
• Record data in AS400 / MESr / JDE systems.
• Perform product testing (Moisture / Ash / Particle Size / PPA / APA / Tensile).
• Coordinate line setup and changeovers.
• Assist in R&D and continuous improvement projects.
• Relieve for breaks and cover production duties as needed.
• Maintain quality and productivity standards.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by Production Supervisor.
