Job summary

Japs-Olson Company is seeking a skilled 2nd Pressman for the day shift (6 AM–6 PM), working 3 to 4 days per week. The role involves operating and maintaining cutting-edge web printing equipment, coordinating with the 1st Pressman, and ensuring high-quality output.

You will participate in setup, color changes, and press cleaning, while contributing to a safe, collaborative production floor. Ideal candidates have prior experience with commercial web presses and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Experience operating commercial web presses is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot press equipment.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full press setups, hanging plates, mounting blankets, ink changes.
• Operate the press under guidance of the 1st Pressman and adjust register.
• Monitor run quality and alert for issues; assist with wash-ups and color changes.
• Prepare and stage materials for upcoming runs; document production data.
• Support training of new employees and act as backup to the 1st Pressman.
