IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks an Early Childhood Co-Teacher to support Tier 1 instruction for Prekindergarten to Grade 2 under the lead teacher. You will facilitate small-group learning, provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, and help create a joyful, engaging classroom where all students can thrive.

This grant-funded position emphasizes collaboration with lead teachers and a commitment to equity, with duties tied to the grant program and 40+ hours per week at school.

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours or bachelor’s degree required
• Experience: 1+ year working with children in classroom or volunteer setting

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational development of students under the direction and guidance of teachers
• Assist with maintaining student records and reporting
• Support Tier 1 core instruction and access to grade-level learning
• Facilitate small-group instruction and intervention based on data
• Monitor learning needs and provide feedback and support
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly
• Implement a consistent behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives
• Help shape a positive school culture and collaborative environment
• Attend tutoring sessions, meetings, and campus events, 40+ hours weekly
