Job summary

Westminster Retirement Community in Austin, TX seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide for 2nd shift (1:45 PM–10:15 PM), Monday through Friday. You will assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, and daily activities while providing reports at shift end.

The role emphasizes excellent hospitality, teamwork, and safe resident care; prior rehab/skilled nursing experience is preferred, and Texas CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential.
• Experience in rehab/skilled nursing environments is preferred.
• Excellent hospitality and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and mobility.
• Receive/give report on residents during shift.
• Record ADLs, nutrition intake, and vital signs as directed.
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents using safe practices.
• Answer call lights promptly and maintain clean, orderly rooms.

We are seeking candidates who are customer service oriented and take great pride in serving others in a caring and professional manner. Must have a current Texas CNA certification, excellent hospitality skills, and enjoy working with seniors.

This role is for a 2nd shift (1:45 PM-10:15PM) Monday-Friday, licensed CNA.

CNA Responsibilities And Duties

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
• Receives/gives report on residents assigned during shift.
• Records ADL's, nutrition intake, vital signs, etc. as directed.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed with the use of safety/protective devices.
• Answers call lights promptly and courteously.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Follows all safety, security, infection control and hazardous materials policies and procedures.

Qualifications And Skills

• Previous experience working in rehab/skilled nursing is preferred
• Must be a Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Texas.
• Excellent hospitality skills, and enjoy working with seniors.
