Job summary

Westminster, a premier retirement community in Austin, TX, seeks a dedicated CNA for a 2nd shift (1:45 PM–10:15 PM), Monday–Friday. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor health needs and report changes to the team. Texas CNA certification is required, and prior rehab/skilled nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing and mobility.
• Record ADLs, nutrition intake and vital signs as directed.
• Transmit/receive shift reports and respond to call lights promptly.
• Transfer, transport and escort residents using safety devices as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly resident rooms.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and hazardous materials policies.

We are seeking candidates who are customer service oriented and take great pride in serving others in a caring and professional manner. Must have a current Texas CNA certification, excellent hospitality skills, and enjoy working with seniors.

This role is for a 2nd shift (1:45 PM-10:15PM) Monday-Friday, licensed CNA.

CNA Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
• Receives/gives report on residents assigned during shift.
• Records ADL's, nutrition intake, vital signs, etc. as directed.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed with the use of safety/protective devices.
• Answers call lights promptly and courteously.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Follows all safety, security, infection control and hazardous materials policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience working in rehab/skilled nursing is preferred
• Must be a Certified Nurse Aide in the State of Texas.
• Excellent hospitality skills, and enjoy working with seniors.
