Job summary

You will supervise teams, implement 5S, and partner with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Maintenance. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 6–9 years in metal fabrication, Lean experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 6–9 years metal fabrication experience or equivalent.
• Experience with punching, laser cutting, plasma-cutting, burning, forming, welding, machining, painting.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Computer literacy required; on-the-job training possible.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of production employees and team leaders.
• Ensure daily team boards show effective communication.
• Discipline staff per company policies.
• Coach staff with development plans and training checklists.
• Evaluate direct reports with 90-day and annual reviews.
• Develop cross-training plans for direct reports.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Maintenance.
• Lead Lean Projects to eliminate wastes.
• Manage production schedules and capacity planning.
• Direct resolution of safety, quality, and throughput issues.
