Job summary

Georg Utz, Inc. USA is seeking a Process Technician for a plastics molding operation. The role covers start-up and processing of molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment; sampling of new equipment; and troubleshooting to maintain function and quality.

Tiered levels promote training; you will perform safe equipment setup, line clearances, and support engineering projects as staffing demands change. This on-site role requires hands-on skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Work safe knowledge of equipment and safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a team or independently on projects.
• Understanding of injection molding processes from pellet to part.
• Basic understanding of mold tooling and machine/robot sequencing.
• Ability to read equipment schematics and use a multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and processing of molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
• Participate in sampling of new equipment and trials.
• Troubleshoot process issues to maintain quality and yield.
• Set up robot positions and prepare machines for production.
• Perform line clearances and housekeeping.
• Use hand and power tools to perform maintenance.
• Operate forklift and work at heights as required.
