Job summary

Venteon is seeking a 2nd/3rd shift Controls Technician in Fort Wayne, IN. Successful candidates will drive automation, troubleshoot electrical controls, program PLCs/ HMIs/ robots, and support preventive maintenance across manufacturing lines. Prior automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.

Position offers full-time permanent employment with off-shift premium, benefits, paid holidays and vacation. High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years electrical training or journeyman/3-5 years

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years' experience with electrical training or journeyman experience or 3-5 years of related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation (PLCs & robotics) activity for optimized production.
• Maintain manufacturing equipment, building facilities, and support preventive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, drives, robot paths, and wiring.
• Use laptop and software to communicate with equipment and network interfaces.
• Make programming changes to PLC, HMI & robots.
• Assist in machine repair, changeover, and setup as required.
• Schedule time/materials/equipment and complete required documentation.
• Support production and help keep a spare parts inventory.
• Communicate professionally with all levels of associates.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

2 years' experience with electrical training or journeyman experience or 3-5 years of related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
