Job summary

BASIS Ed in Mesa is seeking a Math Teacher for 2nd/3rd grade as a Long Term Substitute to join our bright, passionate team. You will create and deliver grade-appropriate lessons aligned with BASIS Curriculum and support student learning through engaging activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in the subject or related field, and an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, with preferred Master's degree and prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter or related field (or 24+ credit hours with other degree).
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide instruction on a higher level than grade-standard in an interactive learning environment.
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and materials.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to raise achievement.
