BASIS Mesa is seeking qualified candidates for a 2nd/3rd Grade Math Teacher - Long Term Substitute to join our bright, passionate team! The role focuses on delivering BASIS Curriculum and collaborating with LETs in our co-teaching model.

The position runs Nov 16 2026 through Feb 2027. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in subject matter, teaching credentials, and strong tech skills; Master’s preferred and 2+ years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 24+ credit hours in the subject matter with other degree is required.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide instruction on a higher level than grade-standard in an interactive learning environment.
• Implement BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum material and build a community of professionals.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to heighten academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement and personal responsibility.
