Job summary

BASIS Chandler Primary South is seeking a qualified 3rd Grade Math & Science Teacher - Long Term Substitute to start ASAP. Duration through November 20th.

Prepare and facilitate lesson plans aligned with BASIS Curriculum, delivering high-level instruction within an interactive environment to drive exceptional results for our students. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or equivalent), IVP clearance, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with other degree)
• Master’s degree in subject matter or education preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans
• Provide instruction at a level beyond grade standard in an interactive learning environment
• Implement BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills
• Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement and personal responsibility
• Assist with non-instructional duties such as Early Bird/Late Bird and lunch
• Maintain regular attendance
• Supervise students or groups
