Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a SPED self-contained paraeducator at Brockbank Jr. High to support instructional programs for students with disabilities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may require 48 college credits or ParaPro exam for Title 1 schools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• For Title 1 schools, either 48 college credits or pass the ParaPro exam.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher and related service professional instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional activities and supervised tasks as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain data on student groups and progress for teacher use.
• Supervise students in classroom and in activity settings; assist with accessing transportation or field activities.
• Provide personal care support as needed (toileting, hygiene, feeding).
• Apply behavior management procedures per district policy.
• Prepare and adapt instructional materials under teacher direction.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information; escalate as required.
• Work assigned hours and participate in required professional development.
