Job summary

The Granite School District is seeking a Paraeducator & Instructional Assistant for SPED Self-Contained classes to support instruction under the supervision of a licensed teacher. The role focuses on direct services to students and coordination with classroom staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, data collection, and maintaining a positive learning environment while ensuring student safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 48 hours of college credit; or
• pass the ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Implement drill and practice exercises designed by the teacher for groups or individuals.
• Keep accurate data on assigned groups or students and assist with data collection.
• Supervise and monitor student instructional activities in school and community settings.
• Provide personal care and assist students with self-help skills as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student progress and related information.
• Ensure attendance and timeliness are maintained as essential functions of the role.
