The Hangout in Gulf Shores, AL seeks a Junior Staff Accountant to ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of daily and monthly debits/credits in the general ledger. This role supports bank reconciliations, income audits, sales taxes, intercompany transactions, and related accounting tasks.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting with at least 2 years of accounting experience; hospitality industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in hospitality industry or property management accounting is a plus.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Post and reconcile daily/monthly debits and credits to the general ledger.
• Perform account reconciliations and related tasks, including bank reconciliations, income audits, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with property management accounting tasks as needed.
• Support accuracy and detail through multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.

This Junior Staff Accountant position will be located in Gulf Shores, AL.

The position ensures that all daily/monthly debits and credits are accurately posted and reconciled in the appropriate general ledger. Additionally, this position is responsible for account reconciliations, and other accounting tasks as assigned.

Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Account Reconciliation - reviews and balances GL accounts.
• Other Accounting Tasks - Bank Reconciliations, Income Audit, Sales Taxes, Intercompany Transactions, GL Reconciliation between multiple companies, other miscellaneous tasks.
• Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting
• Hospitality industry is a plus
• Experience in Property Management Accounting a plus
