We are dedicated to preparing tomorrow’s teachers, especially in rural, remote, and urban schools.

Responsibilities may also include supporting candidates who need CSET preparation, participating in the planning and delivery of regional seminars, and facilitating cohort meetings during Saturday seminars.
Attend all regular regional faculty meetings and CalStateTEACH statewide faculty meetings; serve on regional and statewide committees; contribute to the development and revision of curriculum to ensure program quality; achieve and maintain knowledge of CalTPA Tasks; become an expert in the CalStateTEACH curriculum, delivery format, policies and procedures, and online instruction; stay abreast of emerging technologies; become qualified to administer the required program interview.
Contact potential candidates; participate in recruitment/outreach activities, including job fairs and professional conferences; participate in local meetings, county offices and professional educational consortiums; collaborate with local school districts in determining appropriate clinical placements.
Selected candidates are hired as lecturers by the CSU campus affiliated with the Regional Center and are placed on the CSU faculty salary schedule according to education and experience.
Commensurate with experience within ranks established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code = 2458 for Academic Year Lecturers). For Temporary Faculty with a Master’s degree, the monthly salary is $5,507 – $6,677 for full-time work at 15 WTUs. Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on the number of WTUs assigned per term.
Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2. Instructors are responsible for preparing, delivering, conducting, proctoring, and grading lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams. All classes must be offered, meet as scheduled throughout the semester, and be in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid).
Appointments are contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement between California State University and the California Faculty Association, including the “Order of Work.” Faculty must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States; California State University, Fresno does not sponsor Temporary Faculty for work visas.
The temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled as needed. Appointments may be made just prior to the start of an academic term and are often temporary. Applicants may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice.
