• Install new software and develop applications for users.
• Evaluate hardware and software and make purchase recommendations.
• Obtain and maintain a CDL bus license.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Drive a bus when called upon to do so while maintaining proficiency in driving skills.
• Maintain discipline and report undisciplined students to school administration.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops and transport only authorized students.
• Comply with local and state traffic regulations and observe all mandatory safety regulations.
• Report delays and accidents.
• Clean the interior of the bus.
• Serve as a team player and role model for other employees.
• Perform other duties and accept responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduation and three years of experience using computing and information technology resources.

• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Physical Requirements

• Hand and finger dexterity for accurate input and output of computer data.
• Auditory acuity sufficient to hear telephone conversations, customer questions and concerns, and supervisor instructions.
• Visual acuity sufficient to read and analyze computer screen, documents and correspondence.
• Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word.

Special Requirements

• Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.
• Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
• Applicants must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested for purposes of driving a school bus.
