CMHA-CEI in Lansing, MI is seeking a professional to provide a range of direct and indirect mental health services to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities include case management, group facilitation, and outreach to individuals with complex needs.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology, at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid Michigan driver's license.

Under the supervision of a Coordinator or Supervisor, serves as a professional performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health services within a specific program or area of assignment to consumers with a chronic mental illness and possibly developmental disability and/or substance abuse issues.Recommends referrals to various programs, program components and other services in the community. Provide case management; facilitation of a variety of groups; outreach to consumers with multiple needs; and mental health services in a short-term crisis intervention program. Responsible for detailed case documentation. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field required.A minimumof one year of professional experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illnessand/or co-occurring disorder is required. On a case-by-case basis, may assess and consider an applicant with twoyears of paraprofessional work experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mentalillness and/or co-occurring disorder. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency inCMHA-CEI’s computer systems. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is required.Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
$27.12 – $30.37 per hour.40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
