CMHA-CEI in Lansing, MI is seeking a professional to provide direct and indirect mental health services to adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Under supervision, you will perform assessments, treatment planning, and case management, with crisis intervention and community referrals as needed.
Responsibilities include detailed documentation, outreach as appropriate, and coordination of group activities in office or community settings.
Under the supervision of the Case Management Services Coordinator of Adult Mental Health Services Team 1, serves as a professional performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health services to consumers with a chronic mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Provides assessments; treatment planning; case management services; crisis intervention; mental health services; referral and linkage to various other CMHA-CEI programs and/or services in the community; minimal outreach services to consumers with multiple needs; and facilitation of group activities. Responsible for detailed case documentation. Services may occur both in office and the community. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field required. A minimum of one year of professional experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illnessand/or co-occurring disorder is required. On a case-by-case basis, may assess and consider an applicant with two years of paraprofessional work experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring disorder. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI’s computer systems. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

$27.12 – $30.37 per hour. Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. 40 hours per week.
