Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, offers an aerospace internship program designed to develop engineering talent. You will create technical data, support airline customers and MROs, and work with global teams across airframe and engine domains.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop Technical Data: initiate and oversee creation of Engine Maintenance documents and service bulletins.
  • Collaborate globally with airline operators, MRO shops, and field service representatives.
  • Support critical operations by addressing customer technical questions to keep fleets operational.
  • Coordinate with program offices, CFD/CIPTs, regulators, and partners to plan technical and logistic fleet solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Develop Technical Data: Initiate and oversee the creation of Engine Maintenance documents, Special Instructions, Service Bulletins and other documents to support airline and shop customers.
  • Collaborate Globally: Interface with commercial airline operators, MRO shops, worldwide P&W Field Service Representatives, suppliers, and airframe companies (Airbus/A220, Embraer/E190) with a focus on mainline bearings, transmission system, oil system, and nacelle hardware.
  • Support Critical Operations: Receive and respond to customer technical questions to keep fleets flying and maintain MRO shop throughput.
  • Interface with Industry Experts: Coordinate and collaborate with the Program Office, Customer Fleet Directors (CFDs), Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), regulatory authorities, maintenance data authors, field service representatives, Customer Service Managers, suppliers, and program partners to assess, plan and implement technical and logistic fleet management solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook).
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
