Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is seeking a proactive field operations professional to support 24/7 response, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and manage water quality and infrastructure tasks. The role involves coordinating with teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues efficiently.

You will monitor equipment readiness, assist in leakage work and safety procedures, and maintain accurate records in SAP and related systems while working in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering safety compliance and meeting regulatory targets.
• Practical operational experience, working to deadlines and maintaining good relationships.
• Strong understanding of water service delivery processes and success measures.
• Ability to solve problems quickly while keeping safety as a priority.
• Disciplined, detail‑oriented, and able to follow procedures.
• Good teamwork and ability to work with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
• Proven communication skills, including remote coordination and escalations.
• IT literacy and ability to use corporate systems.
• References, medical clearance and basic DBS checks required.

Responsibilities

• Support 24/7 response with post‑incident learning and risk understanding.
• Investigate faults, pinpoint causes and take action to resolve issues.
• Keep customers informed during emergencies and ensure timely updates.
• Ensure vehicles, plants and equipment are compliant and ready.
• Record activities in SAP/PowerApps and collect water quality data.
• Assist in leakage detection, planned work and safety procedures.
• Review contractor RAMS and issue Permits to Work as needed.
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.
• Monitor driver hours and maintain CHQ of water quality measures.
• Standby rota participation and other duties as required.
