Job summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Water Operations Manager to lead 24/7 ultra-pure water and wastewater treatment operations in a semiconductor fab. You will drive daily plant output, oversee shift handoffs, and ensure strict safety and regulatory compliance across all processes.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant engineering field and 10+ years in water operations, with strong SCADA/HMI and P&ID skills.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in water/wastewater operations or heavy industrial/process environments, preferably in semiconductor fab.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering/technical field.
- Strong knowledge of RO, CEDI, UF, UV, ion exchange and biological/chemical wastewater treatment.
- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI controls and P&IDs.
- OSHA/EHS compliance experience and permits management.
Responsibilities
- Direct 24/7 UPW and IWT operations, ensuring uninterrupted high-purity water delivery.
- Coordinate shift handoffs and cross-team coordination with OPS/MX/ENG.
- Enforce strict safety, EHS protocols, and regulatory standards for chemical handling and wastewater discharge.
- Monitor real-time water quality, review trends, and respond to system alarms.
- Maintain SOPs, drive operator training, and manage performance across the shift.
