Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks a WAN Administrator to support AFCENT Enterprise Network 24/7, ensuring reliable operation of WAN transport in theater for AFCENT personnel and customers to execute their operational missions.

The role covers troubleshooting, configuration, monitoring, and testing of WAN/LAN networks, with focus on BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, IP/MPLS, and cybersecurity considerations in a defense environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' relevant experience in network operations.
• Experience with LAN/WAN Enterprise support.
• Firewall experience.
• Understanding of Microsoft server roles, AD, storage, performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 WAN Transport Operations Support.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot IP/MPLS backbone.
• Develop testing and cutover plans for AFCENT WAN equipment.
• Establish testing and remote monitoring procedures; ensure reliable WAN operation.
• Report system and network findings for analysis and trends.
