Job summary

Jerry’s Towing, part of Midwest Star Group, operates a 24/7 dispatch center in Wisconsin, coordinating light- to heavy-duty towing and roadside assistance across western and central Wisconsin and the Twin Cities region.

The Dispatch position is full-time, in-person with day and night shifts; include weekends/holidays as needed. Strong communication, organization, and decision-making are essential to manage multiple calls and ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple active service calls.
• Basic computer proficiency; learn dispatch and GPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from customers, accounts, law enforcement, drivers, and partners.
• Gather complete information including location, vehicle type, service need, and safety concerns.
• Assign appropriate driver, tow, or recovery equipment based on location and urgency.
• Prioritize and coordinate multiple service calls amidst changing conditions.
• Communicate job details, updates, and instructions to drivers.
• Monitor driver locations, job status, and equipment availability using dispatch tools.
• Provide customers with accurate status and ETA updates.
• Monitor traffic, weather, and conditions affecting response times and safety.
• Maintain accurate service records in the dispatch system.
• Relay messages between drivers, customers, and office staff.
• Respond professionally to questions and complaints, even in emergencies.
• Escalate safety concerns or delays when appropriate.
