Job summary

The University of Virginia's Facilities Management is seeking a Systems Control Center (SCC) Operator to join our 24/7 operations team. This hands-on role monitors BAS, fire and life safety, HVAC, and energy management across Academic, Housing and UVA Health facilities.

Applicants must have shift work availability including weekends/holidays; this position offers a shift differential and full UVA benefits. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, plus generous paid time off and

Qualifications

• Two years of technical experience required.
• Customer service oriented environment experience essential.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BAS, fire and life safety, HVAC, energy management and other mission-critical systems.
• Notify and coordinate with responders using multiple platforms.
• Apply sound judgment and decision-making in routine and emergent situations.
• Receive, prioritize, and facilitate resolution of service requests from customers.
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors on complex issues.
