Job summary

Hoosier Energy is seeking four System Control Supervisors for our 24/7 Control Center to ensure safe, reliable operation of the electric grid. You will monitor and direct real-time transmission and generation activities, coordinating with Member Systems, ISOs, and Reliability Coordinators using EMS/SCADA technology.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, plus NERC System Operator certification and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• NERC Certified System Operator certificate required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to NERC and RRO standards and policies for transmission and generation operations.
• Coordinate actions with interconnected utilities and ISOs; notify management of emergencies.
• Analyze interchange and generation data; perform daily/ monthly energy and demand validation.
• Develop draft switching instructions and ensure proper execution to minimize errors.
• Direct equipment switching and issue clearances to field personnel.
• Inform Member Systems of conditions impacting power distribution.
• Monitor load and voltage to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Follow BES directives from Reliability Coordinators; operate EMS/SCADA tools.
• Maintain logs and records of system operations and dispatch activities.
