Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager of Support Services to oversee multiple non-clinical functions such as environmental and food services, patient transport, voice and shuttle services, and equipment support within a hospital setting.

The role requires leadership experience, healthcare backdrop in transport, and strong tech skills. The incumbent will supervise daily operations, staffing planning, and vendor communications while ensuring 24/7 service coverage and high-quality patient care support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in health, business administration, or related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience with direct employee oversight.
• Healthcare patient transport experience and at least 1 year healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of multiple non-clinical services.
• Lead recruitment, retention, staffing, and scheduling efforts.
• Manage procurement: ordering and receiving for the department.
• Serve as primary department contact and coordinate transport communications within the hospital.
• Visit each shift regularly to supervise operations across all hours.
