Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Optics Support Engineer to work across IT Systems and provide technical security support for logical services and physical data center systems. The role requires handling security response, incident coordination, and escalation to ensure AWS security, customers, and partners are protected.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of security principles, practical application of best practices, and a track record in security operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Drive security findings, research mitigations, and remediate root cause.
Manage high security events and communicate risks to stakeholders.
Assess security risks across the organization.
Create solutions to security issues through technology or process improvements.
Produce reports and white papers on security concerns and operational opportunities affecting AWS data center operations.
Interface with Amazon security and service teams to address findings until ownership is assigned.
Coordinate with technical teams and leadership to translate mitigations into actionable items.
Manage communications, trouble tickets, and provide technical support for Windows/Linux systems.
