Job summary

Amazon Optics is seeking a Systems Engineer to support one of the world’s largest Physical Access Control Systems. The role focuses on deep technical problem solving, automation of manual tasks, and improving operations across critical security infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with top engineers and partner with development teams to advance fleet maintenance and reliability. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in SRE or systems engineering, strong scripting in Python/Java, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

4+ years of site reliability engineering or related systems engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in Python, Java, or similar scripting languages.
Experience in DevOps, security administration, or network administration.

Responsibilities

Investigate root causes of customer issues and metrics trends.
Collaborate with development to automate operations and tooling for fleet maintenance.
Identify and resolve issues impacting major services before they affect customers.
Analyze service interdependencies and region-specific configurations to find root causes.
