NextLink Internet in Hudson Oaks, TX is seeking a NOC technician to monitor and maintain our IP network and telecommunications infrastructure. You will work in a 24/7 team, handling fault analysis, escalation, and ongoing liaison with customers.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent, experience with routers/switches, SNMP, and basic routing/wireless. CCNA or Network+ is desirable. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from one-year College or technical school; or two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with routers and switches; SNMP Experience; Basic Routing Experience; Basic Wireless experience.
• Nice to Have: CCNA or Network+ (or equivalent) are desirable, not required

Responsibilities

• Monitor switching, digital, optical, wireless and associated telecommunications equipment.
• Perform fault analysis, isolation and remediation in switching, digital, optical, wireless and other technologies.
• Open and refer Trouble Tickets to appropriate level of support; escalate network problems; interface with customers, engineers, vendors and technicians.
