Job summary

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is seeking a Network Technician to support the House network infrastructure, including on-site diagnostics, installation and repairs, and 24x7 ECC duties. Requires 3+ years of hands-on networking experience and ability to work varied shifts during Congress sessions.

Preferred CCNA and a bachelor’s degree; U.S. citizenship and security clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with networking hardware and software.
• Experience with LAN/WAN components and network monitoring.
• Ability to work 24x7 ECC duties and on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network operations and provide on-site support.
• Serve as problem coordinator for network issues.
• Install network connectivity for Members and offices.
• Maintain network diagrams and fiber cabling records.
• Follow operational procedures and provide status reports.
• Assist with Member office moves during Congress.
• Provide 24x7 on-site support and ECC duties.
• Perform other official duties as assigned.
