Job summary

Switch is seeking a Mission Control Technician to support real-time monitoring and coordination of mission-critical infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will monitor power, cooling, security, safety, and connectivity, respond to alerts, and coordinate investigations to ensure incidents are resolved promptly.

You’ll work rotating shifts including nights and weekends, documenting actions and timelines, and escalating as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT operations, network operations, or similar technical support roles.
• Experience monitoring systems, investigating alerts, and managing incidents to resolution.
• Foundational understanding of network topologies and the OSI model.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, security, safety, and network connectivity.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for alerts, events, and incident investigations during assigned shifts.
• Interpret alarms, diagnose issues, initiate remediation, and escalate when needed.
• Create, update, and close incident tickets with accurate timelines and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and network carriers to resolve incidents.
• Follow established procedures for configuration tasks and security policy compliance.
• Produce incident summaries and post-event reports.
• Provide timely, professional support to customers during incidents.
