Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider (BLS) required.
• Complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) requirements within first month of employment.
• Preferred CNA certification.
• Proficiency using computers, software, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides and ensures physical needs are met for all patients by assisting with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Conducts and participates in therapeutic milieu activities as directed by the clinical staff.
• Participates with the team to improve quality care standards for the unit.
• Complies with JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals.
• Adapts communication and care to the patient population and requests permissions as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.
