Job summary

GlobalX in Miami, FL seeks a Director of Maintenance Control to lead 24/7/365 maintenance oversight, airworthiness release, and real-time decision-making. This role coordinates with Maintenance, Flight Operations, Dispatch, and MROs to ensure regulatory compliance and reliable operations.

Requires FAA A&P, 7–10 years in Part 121 maintenance, and 3–5 years in MOCC leadership. ETOPS and 14 CFR Parts 91/117/121 knowledge are essential. Role based at our Miami headquarters.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate required; IA/Dispatcher preferred.
• 7–10 years of Part 121 aviation maintenance experience.
• 3–5 years in Maintenance Control/MOCC leadership.

Responsibilities

• After-Hours & Off-Shift Planning: design and maintain 24/7 coverage with on-call escalation.
• Technical Troubleshooting & AOG Resolution: provide real-time guidance for complex discrepancies and AOG revocation decisions.
• Interdepartmental Communication: serve as primary conduit between Maintenance Control, Dispatch, Flight Operations, and MRO vendors.
• Schedule & Maintenance Planning Oversight: coordinate with Planning to avoid conflicts with demand and AD/SB compliance.
• Leadership Development & Team Management: mentor Maintenance Controllers and develop training paths.
• Documentation, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: ensure logs, discrepancy records, and release docs meet FAA standards and support audits.
