Job summary

GlobalX is hiring a Director of Maintenance Control in Miami, FL to lead 24/7 maintenance oversight, airworthiness release, and real-time decision-making across the operation. You will align Maintenance, Flight Ops, Dispatch, and MRO partners to ensure compliance with 14 CFR Parts 91/117/121 and ETOPS standards.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate required; IA and/or Dispatcher certificate preferred.
• 7–10 years of Part 121 aviation maintenance experience.
• 3–5 years in Maintenance Control/MOCC leadership.
• Working knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 91, 117, 121 and ETOPS.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain 24/7/365 Maintenance Control coverage.
• Ensure staffing depth so no single point of failure exists after hours.
• Own the after-hours notification tree for escalation outside business hours.
• Review after-hours event logs to identify recurring discrepancies and drive corrective action.
• Provide real-time technical guidance to line stations and MRO partners for complex discrepancies.
• Direct the resolution path for AOG events balancing safety and compliance.
• Maintain and refine troubleshooting materials and MEL/CDL decision support tools.
• Lead root-cause analysis and translate findings into reliability inputs.
• Represent Maintenance Control in daily operations calls and IROPS briefings.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planning to align visits with operational demand.
• Schedule and manage staff coverage, ensuring FLSA-compliant practices.
