Job summary

WWBT-TV in Richmond, VA (Gray Media) seeks a Technical Media Producer to blend directing a live newscast with master control operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 television environment. This temporary role may become permanent.

Responsibilities include directing live newscasts using Ross Overdrive, operating robotic studio cameras, and handling playback, ingestion and FCC compliance for programming and commercials. 3–5 years of live TV experience required; weekend/holiday shifts expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of television experience in Master Control Operations or Directing.
• Experience directing live newscasts and operating cameras in a fast-paced live TV environment.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Switching live TV feeds and directing newscasts.
• Directing live newscasts and managing master control operations.
• Operate robotic studio cameras and oversee playback, ingest, and FCC compliance.
